Details
The RL Mountain WSDs are the crown jewel in Bontrager's off-road shoe collection. From the ground up, the RLs mean business. Bontrager's Bronze series carbon soles deliver the stiffness you demand for maximum power transfer plus provide just enough flex for comfort and walking. Speaking of comfort, you get Bontrager's customizable eSole insoles, breathable InForm uppers, no-slip heels and tongues that extend all the way to the toes for a custom fit and feel. You'll also love the ratcheting buckles and Velcro strap closures, and the aggressive soles, which offer top traction and even include removable toe spikes.

In order to mount your pedals' cleats to your shoes, they must have matching bolt patterns. There are 3 configurations (diagram) used on cycling shoes, SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL and SPD. Road shoes feature one, two or even all three of these. Mountain-bike shoes usually use the SPD pattern. If you have any questions about cleat compatibility, please contact us. We're here to help!

I've had these shoes for 4 years and really like them. I no longer get numbness in my arch or toe area on long rides. They work well on hot days when friends are wearing bike sandals.

Comments:
After cycling for thirty years with running shoes and toe clips, I decided to try clipless pedals and this pair of cycling shoes. The result...unbelievable comfort and safety. Evenly distributes pressure on foot while pedaling to eliminate pain in toe and ball of foot (common experience with my running shoes and toe clip combination). Very light and sturdy shoes with excellent ventilation. I am normally a size 7 in New Balance runners, and was a size 38 in these Bontrager cycling shoes. Use caution while walking around...I found them a bit slippery even on flat surfaces.
